How we work

Three phases. No surprises in the invoice.

Every engagement runs the same way. You always know what week you're in and what lands next.

1–2 weeks

Discovery

We shadow the work. Every form, every hand-off, every workaround your team invented. You get a process map, a written requirements set and a fixed-price build plan — yours to keep, whether or not you hire us. If the tools you already pay for can do it, we say so.

You receive
  • Process map
  • Scope & risks
  • Fixed-price plan
On cost

The first call and a high-level scope are free. Discovery itself — stakeholder interviews, requirements, architecture — is a paid, fixed-fee engagement, credited against the build if you go ahead. It is real work, and it is worth something to you even if we never write a line of code.

The two of us

A solutions architect and a software engineer. That's the whole team.

Two roles, no hierarchy: one of us leads the design, one leads the build, and both of us write code and sit in your discovery sessions.

Ryne Tate

Solutions architect

Sits in every discovery session, translates how your team works into a system design, and owns the data model and integration decisions. Spends more time on the warehouse floor than in the slide deck.

Brandon Tate

Software engineer

Owns the build — the product surface, the integrations, the parts that have to hold up on a Tuesday morning. Both of us are experienced engineers; the split is who leads which half of the work.

We choose boring, well-documented tools so your next hire can read the code. If your team already runs something else, we work in it.
